What got you into writing about casinos?
“To be honest, I fell into this industry somewhat by accident. I got my professional start writing about sports, and there was a need for more coverage in the iGaming and online casino space. It was a fun and new challenge for me to pursue, and I’ve been covering it since 2018.
It’s quite different from sports, but it’s a massively competitive industry, and it’s enjoyable to observe in real-time as companies compete with one another.
Beyond that, I take it seriously to provide in-depth reviews so that players aren’t wasting their time. I never want readers to spend their hard-earned money on a faulty product, and I hope my content will help them make informed decisions.”
What’s the first thing you look for at an online casino?
“It sounds silly, but filtering options. This might come from my numerous reviews, but being unable to readily find the games available is certainly a pet peeve. Given the competitive market, the user interface needs to be top-tier. Good filtering options, the number of games per section, and minimum and maximum wager amounts really improve the player experience."
If you could only play one casino game forever, what would it be?
“Definitely blackjack. It’s one of those casino games where you can deploy strategy to achieve the best possible outcome. I still enjoy other online casino games, but blackjack has the perfect blend of strategy and is fast-paced.”
